Your prize includes:

·       Four nights B&B in the 5 star Marriott Praia D’El Rey Hotel (arrive Saturday –  depart Wednesday)

·       Three rounds of superb golf – including 2 rounds on the spectacular West Cliffs course – ranked No 2 in Portugal

·       Three rounds counting towards 2022 Order of Merit

Package price does not include flights or airport transfers.

Location & flights – Praia D’el Rey is located 50 miles north of Lisbon. Lisbon is the nearest international airport.

Accommodation: The 5 star Marriott Praia D’El Rey Hotel

The rooming list has been sent out in a separate email.  Please check your date of arrival and departure.

The hotel is booked for arrival on Saturday 8th and departure on Wednesday 12th October (4 nights) and the package is based on twin / double occupancy.

Golf:

Mon 10        Praia del Rey              Tee times from 11.10am

Tue 11         West Cliffs                 Tee times from 10.00am

Golf Course transfers: A shuttle service is available from the hotel to the three courses

Format: The scoring format each day will be individual Stableford with Playing Handicap 95% of Course Handicap. 

Draws:  The draw for the first round will be on the website by 5.00pm on Friday 7 October. The draw order will be based on current placings in the Global Order of Merit with leaders going out last.

Handicap:  All four rounds will be run under the WHS system but scores will not automatically be forwarded to your home club.  You MUST return your daily scores to your golf club and the easiest way to do this is to forward the email from Golf Genius, which you will receive after each round and which provides details of your scores.

GAGT Overseas Handicap System (OHA):  Where appropriate handicaps will be adjusted after each round in line with the GAGT OHA system, details of which we can provide.  Any adjustments will not affect your club Handicap Index.

Buggies:  We have reserved a number of electric trolleys and buggies each day. Electric trolley hire is €20 per round and buggy hire is €40 per round.

Range balls:  Included at each course  

Dress:  No formal dress i.e jacket & tie not required.

Nearest the Pin:  There will be two Nearest the Pins for each round.  The prize will be a £25 GAGT voucher.

Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep of £40 or €50 and this will be collected in cash when you check in before the first round. The sweep will be paid out daily for the leading three scores and anyone who scores a two

2021/22 final Order of Merit positions & winners: 

The final positions in the 21/22 Orders of Merit will be calculated on the basis of a competitors best eleven merit scores which may or may not include the three rounds played in the Tour Final.

2021/22 Tour Final Winners: 

The results will be decided over three rounds of Individual Stableford with 95% of Course Handicap. Any ties over 54 holes will be decided on a card playoff on the last 18 holes, 9 holes, 6 holes etc.

2021/22 Prizes for the Global Amateur Golf Tour Orders of Merit and Tour Final

The winner of each 2021 / 22 Orders of Merit and the Tour Final will each win £1000 credit towards future events on the GAGT

Runner up in each 2021 / 22 Orders of Merit and the Tour Final will each win £700 credit towards future events on the GAGT

Third place in each 2021 / 22 Orders of Merit and the Tour Final will each win £400 credit towards future events on the GAGT

Presentation Dinner: The presentation dinner will take place in the Marriott Hotel on Tuesday evening and full details will be provided when we are in Portugal.
