2024 Matchplay Championship Grand Final in Las Vegas!!

After 27 years of staging the Finals of the Matchplay Championship at Vale do Lobo, Algarve we have teamed up with TravisMathew, lifestyle performance brand and apparel sponsor of Jon Rahm, to bring you the TravisMathew Matchplay Championship with the Grand Final in Las Vegas, the ultimate golf & leisure destination.

Las Vegas Grand Final – 24–29 March 2025

The prize of a place in the Las Vegas Final includes:

  • Return economy flights from London to Las Vegas
  • 5 nights shared accommodation in MGM Hotel, Las Vegas
  • 4 rounds of golf including - Wolf Creek, Reflection Bay, Bear’s Best, Las Vegas National

How does the tournament work?

  • Two separate matchplay competitions - Individual and Betterball pairs
  • Play starts first week in June
  • The draw is made on a regional basis to minimise travelling
  • Matches are played at home or opponent’s course – many courses offer courtesy
  • Up to four knockout matches played between June and end of September
  • Winners of four matches qualify for one of the regional finals in October
  • Leading pairs and individuals at regional finals qualify for the Grand Final Las Vegas March 2025

Grand Final Itinerary

Monday, March 24th  

Day 1: Arrive in Las Vegas / Welcome Drinks

• Arrive in Las Vegas and be transported to the luxurious Park MGM Hotel, situated on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

• Enjoy welcome drinks as you socialise with fellow competitors.

Tuesday, March 25th   

Day 2: Round 1 at Las Vegas National

• Register and receive your exclusive TravisMathew logo'd finalists apparel.

• Tee off at Las Vegas National Golf Club starting from 10:30am.

• Evening at leisure to explore Las Vegas.

Wednesday, March 26th

Day 3: Round 2 at Wolf Creek  

• Experience the challenge of Wolf Creek Golf Club with tee times starting at 11am.

• Enjoy another evening at your leisure to explore Las Vegas

Thursday, March 27th

Day 4: Round 3 at Reflection Bay / TopGolf Evening

• Take on the stunning course at Reflection Bay Golf Club with tee times starting at 10:30am.

• An evening of fun at TopGolf, a driving range like no other.

Friday, March 28th

Day 5: Final round at Bear’s Best / Presentation Party

• Compete in the final round at Bear’s Best with tee times from 10:30am.

• Conclude the championship with a presentation party to celebrate the winners in true Las Vegas style.

Saturday, March 29th

Day 6: Departure Day

• Transfer from MGM Park Hotel to Las Vegas airport.

Individual Regional Finals venues & dates:

  • Sandwell: October 24th, 2024 – leading 4 scores qualify for Grand Final in Las Vegas

Betterball Regional Final venues & dates:

  • North - Sandmoor: October 8 – leading 3 pairs qualify for Grand Final in Las Vegas
  • South – Goring & Streatley: October 14 - leading 3 pairs qualify for Grand Final in Las Vegas

Betterball Regional Finals

Pairs winning four matches will advance to one of the regional finals in October 2024. Which final you will play in will be assigned on a geographical basis. However, if you cannot attend your designated regional final, we can move you to a more convenient regional final.

  • The format will be Betterball Stableford with a 85% handicap allowance.
  • Participants need to provide their CDH Number before the regional final.
  • Accommodation and travel arrangements are the responsibility of participants, as we do not provide them.
  • The leading pairs from each Regional Final, depending on the number of pairs taking part on the day, qualify for the Grand Final in Las Vegas March 2025.

Individual Regional Finals

Those that have secured victories in four matches earn a spot in the central-location regional final in October 2024.
We’ve opted for the Midlands as the venue for the Individual Regional Final because of its general convenience for participants.

  • The format will be Individual Stableford with a 95% handicap allowance.
  • Participants need to provide us with their CDH Number before the regional final.
  • Accommodation and travel arrangements are not provided for the regional final, participants are responsible for making their own plans.
  • The leading individuals from the Regional Final, depending on the number of participants taking part on the day, qualify for the Grand Final in Las Vegas in March 2025.
