Situated in the picturesque Paarl-Franschhoek Valley, the Estate is a short drive from Cape Town and nestled between many of South Africa’s most renowned wine estates and restaurants.

Day 1: 15 October 2025
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport and transfer to your hotel.

Check-in at Commodore Hotel for 4 nights.

Day 2: 16 October 2025
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Clovelly Golf Course for your round of golf. Tee times are scheduled between 08:30 and 08:48.

Clovelly Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course nestled in the tranquil Silvermine Valley near Fish Hoek in Cape Town. Designed in the 1930s by Charles Molteno Murray (with landscape enhancements by Bobby Lewin), its layout winds through indigenous vegetation and alongside the Silvermine River and scenic lakes.

Following your game, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3: 17 October 2025
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Royal Cape Golf Club for your round of golf. Tee times are scheduled between 08h16 and 08h32.
Royal Cape is South Africa’s oldest golf club, offering a classic parkland layout with tree-lined fairways and beautiful views of Table Mountain. The course is known for its rich history and championship pedigree.

After your round, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 4: 18 October 2025
Spend the day at leisure.

Day 5: 19 October 2025
Enjoy an early breakfast and check-out, then you will be transferred to Steenberg Golf Club for your round of golf. Tee times are scheduled between 08h28 and 08h36.

Set within the heart of the Constantia Winelands, Steenberg Golf Club is known for its immaculate fairways, challenging layout, and beautiful mountain views. The course offers a mix of parkland and wetland features, with vineyards lining parts of the fairways and water hazards coming into play on several holes.

After your round, you will be transferred to Pearl Valley Hotel. Check-in for 3 nights.

Day 6: 20 October 2025
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Erinvale Golf Course for your round of golf. Tee times are scheduled between 08h30 and 08h48.

Erinvale is a scenic championship course located in Somerset West, offering stunning views of the Helderberg Mountains. Designed by Gary Player, the course features a mix of challenging holes, tree-lined fairways, and well-placed water hazards, providing a rewarding experience for golfers of all levels.

After your round, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 7: 21 October 2025
After breakfast, make your way to Pearl Valley Golf Course for your round of golf. Tee times are scheduled between 11h20 and 11h40.

Located in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Pearl Valley is a Jack Nicklaus Signature course known for its immaculate conditioning, wide fairways, and challenging water features. Set against a backdrop of mountains and vineyards, it offers a world-class golfing experience in a truly picturesque setting.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure at your hotel.

Day 8: 22 October 2025
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Cape Town International Airport. Some guests will depart for their international flights home, while others will fly to KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) to begin their Kruger Park extension.

Travel Insurance:  If you choose to travel, research your destinations and get appropriate travel insurance. Insurance should cover your itinerary, planned activities and expenses in an emergency.

VISA:  You can visit South Africa without a visa for up to 90 days for business or tourism.

Airport Transfers:  Airport transfers are included one day either side of the expected arrival and departure date. Please provide Kelly/Debbie in the office with your flight details.

Golf Course Transfers: Golf Course Transfers are included.

Format:  The scoring format each day will be individual Stableford. 

Handicaps:  Playing Handicap will be set at 95% of Course Handicap. The maximum Playing Handicaps are 24 for men and 30 for ladies. If your handicap exceeds these limits, you can still play, but for competition purposes, you’ll play off these limits.

All five rounds will be run under the World Handicap System (WHS). Scores will not automatically be forwarded to your Golf Union.  Participants MUST return their daily scores to their golf club. The easiest way to do this is to forward the email from Golf Genius, which will be received after each round, and provides details of your scores.

GAGT Overseas Handicap System (OHA):  Handicaps will be adjusted after each round in line with the GAGT OHA system. The GAGT OHA system is based on the CONGU handicap system prior to the introduction of WHS. Adjustments made by the GAGT OHA system will not affect your club Handicap Index.

The GAGT OHA system takes precedence over adjustments made by a player’s home club to ensure consistency. Details of the GAGT OHA system can be provided upon request.

Daily Draw:  The draw for the first two rounds will be available on the website a week before the event.

Draws for the last two rounds will be made in score order.

In the fourth round, the leaders will go out first.

In the last round, the leaders will go out last.

Participants can use the message facility in their Locker/Account for requests such as playing partners and early or late tee times. The organisers will do their best to accommodate these requests.

To avoid excess baggage charges, prizes will be in the form of vouchers for the Global Amateur Golf Tour.

Daily Prizes:

1st Place: £100 GAGT voucher

2nd Place: £70 GAGT voucher

3rd Place: £50 GAGT voucher

Overall vouchers: 

1st Place: £200 GAGT voucher

Nearest the Pin:  There will be two Nearest the Pins for each round, with a prize of a £25 GAGT voucher.

Sweep:  An optional sweep of £50, £10 per round, collected in cash during check-in before the first round.  The sweep will be paid out daily for the leading three scores and anyone who scores a two.

Merit points will be awarded for all five rounds.

Points will be awarded on the basis of 100 points to the winner, 99 points for runner-up, 98 points for third, and so on.

Participants need to be a current member of the GAGT to qualify for merit points.

No Electric Trolleys or Buggies are provided, except for a shared golf cart at Pearl Valley Golf Course

Warmer temperatures and the end of the rainy season. One of the best times to visit, with plenty of sunshine. Whale watching is still possible, but shark and flower seasons wind down. Average daytime temperatures: 20–25°C.

To get from Cape Town to Leopard Creek, a private transfer will take you from your accommodation to Cape Town International Airport. From there, we recommend taking Airlink flight 4Z 663 on Wednesday 22nd October to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (formerly known as Nelspruit Airport). This flight is scheduled to depart at 10:25 and arrive at 12:45, offering a convenient connection to your onward transfer to Leopard Creek.
