COMPETITOR INFORMATION

Overview: Hindhead Golf Club is a stunning heathland course set in glorious surroundings, ranks as one of Britain’s best heathland courses. Originally designed by J.H. Taylor, the course sits easily in a natural terrain with fairways bordered by glorious heather and tall pines. Hindhead proudly ranks 91st in the Top 100 Golf Courses of Britain & Ireland and 39th in England's Top 100, testament to its enduring quality. This esteemed course has hosted tournaments, including Open Championship Qualifying and The British Ladies Amateur Championship, a must play for any golfing enthusiast.

Package Includes:  Two Rounds of Golf, Tea/Coffee & bacon roll on arrival, a one course lunch provided between rounds, prizes and OoM points. 

Registration:  The registration desk will be set up in the Clubhouse from 8.00am.

Breakfast:  Coffee and bacon bap on arrival from 8.15 a.m.

Lunch:  One course lunch in the bar/dining room on a rolling basis.

Tee Times:  The draw will be on the website 48 hours prior to the event.  Play starts at 9.00am in threeballs from the 1st tee and the afternoon round starts at 2.30pm from the 1st tee. 

If you specifically require an early or late tee time please inform us via the message facility in your Locker / Account.

Practice facilities:  The golf club features a Practice ground and Putting green.

Buggies & Electric Trolleys:  Buggies are not available at Hindhead as the terrain is quite hillySingle-seater buggies are only permitted on the course for visitors who are registered disabled. Trolleys may be rented from the Professional’s Shop. To reserve a electric trolley please call 01428 604458.

Scoring Format:  Individual Stableford with 95% of Course Handicap allowance. The maximum playing handicap will be 24 for men and 30 for ladies.

All scores will be automatically uploaded to the WHS for those competitors who are a member at a club affiliated to GB&I Golf Unions.  All other competitors will be responsible for returning the scores to their home club.

Tees:  Silver (m) and Green (f) tees only

Prizes:  There will be prizes for first, second and third place in the morning and afternoon.

Nearest the Pin:  There are two Nearest the Pins each getting a £25 GAGT voucher.

GAGT Order of Merit:  Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on.

You will need to be a current member of the GAGT to qualify for merit points.

WHS Qualifier:  The event will be a WHS handicap qualifying event.

Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep of £10 per person per round to include a 2s sweep and a competition sweep.

Dress:  Shorts must be tailored and socks can be short white sports socks.

Pace of Play: Please play READY GOLF. Starting times must be adhered to so please ensure players are at the tee 10 minutes before their tee time. It is important to keep pace with the match in front, not just ahead of those behind.

GPS range finding equipment:  The use of GPS range finding devices is permitted on the Tour.

Payment:  Full payment is due one month prior to the date of the event.

Late Cancellation:  Please note that once we have submitted numbers to the golf club, they will charge for late cancellation.
