COMPETITOR INFORMATION

 

Package Includes:  Tea/ Coffee & bacon roll on arrival, one round am, roast lunch between rounds, one round pm, light snack after pm round, prizes for am, pm & 36 hole competitions.


Clubhouse open from: 7.30am


Pro shop open from: approx. 7.30am


Registration:  The registration desk will be set up in the Clubhouse from 7.30am.


Tee Times:  In the morning there will be a staggered two tee start. Play starts at 8.30am from the first tee and at 9.30am from the 15th tee. 

The afternoon round starts at 1.30pm with all matches from the first tee.

Please check you tee time within 24 hrs of the event as there may be a need to alter times.


Scoring Format:  Play will be in threeballs and the scoring format will be Individual Stableford with full handicap allowance. The maximum handicap limits will be 24 for men and 30 for ladies.


Tees:              Men ? White                  Ladies ? Red


Practice facilities: There is a good practice ground at Worplesdon but a limited number of balls will be available. There is a putting green and chipping green close to the first tee.


Course planners:  Available from the pro shop, approx. ?5.00 each


Buggy & trolley hire: 

Both buggies have already been booked. 

Only 4 electric trolleys are available - ?15 / day ? need to be charged after 18

Pull trolleys are available

On course refreshments:  There is NO halfway house at Worplesdon so it is recommended you take any refreshments with you.


Prizes:  Each round will be a separate competition and both will count towards the Order of Merit. There will be prizes for at least the first, second and third place each round plus an overall 36 hole prize.  There will also be two Prizes:  Awarded to at least the leading three competitors am & pm.  The presentation will take place shortly after the last match has finished.


Nearest the Pin: There will be two Nearest the Pin Competitions, morning and afternoon and the winners will each receive a dozen Nike balls.


Catering: A rolling  carvery will be served in between rounds and a snack will be available following the second round. Jacket & tie are NOT required.


Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep of ?5 per round to include a 2s sweep of ?2, a competition sweep of ?2 per and an overall 36 hole competition sweep of ?1.


EAGT Order of Merit: Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on. CONGU Qualifier: This event will be a CONGU handicap qualifying event so you will need to know your exact playing handicap when you check in. A Competition Standard Scratch Score will be calculated and handicaps will be amended according to CONGU guidelines..

 

Shorts:  If you wish to wear shorts they can be ankle length sports socks.

 

Dress: Jacket & tie NOT required.

 

GPS range finding equipment: The use of GPS range finding devices is permitted on the Tour.

 

Late Cancellation:  Please note that we have submitted numbers to the golf club and they will make a charge for late cancellation.
