CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT

COMPETITOR INFORMATION

 

Package Includes:  Tea/ Coffee & bacon roll on arrival, one round on each of The Blue and The Red Courses, roast lunch between rounds, light snack after pm round, prizes for am, pm & 36 hole competitions.

Tee Times:  The draw has been made and can be viewed by clicking Morning / Afternoon above. 

Play starts at 8.00am from the first tees on both The Blue and The Red Courses.  Those matches shown to be playing from the 10th tee in the morning will play The Blue Course and those matches shown to be playing from the 1st tee will play The Red Course.

Play starts at 1.30pm in the afternoon and the courses will be reversed.

Clubhouse opening:  Competitors are not permitted in the clubhouse before 7.20am

Pro shop opening:  At approximately 7.30am

Practice facilities: There is a range with covered bays at the club within a short walk or drive of the clubhouse. Tokens can be purchased in the pro shop.

Buggy & trolley hire:  Buggies are limited in number.  Electric trolleys and pull trolleys are available. To reserve a buggy or electric trolley call the pro shop on 01344 622 351

On course refreshments:  A drinks buggy will service both courses

Championship Event: The winner over 36 holes will qualify for the EAGT UK Final in October.

To be eligible to accept this prize a competitor must have previously played in at least three Tour events or must play in five subsequent Tour events before the UK Final. If a competitor does not comply with the above they cannot accept the automatic place in the UK Final.

CONGU Qualifier: This event will be a CONGU handicap qualifying event so you will need to know your exact playing handicap when you check in. A Competition Standard Scratch Score will be calculated and handicaps will be amended according to CONGU guidelines..

Scoring Format:  Play will be in threeballs and the scoring format will be Individual Stableford with full handicap allowance. The maximum handicap limits will be 24 for men and 36 for ladies. 

Tees:              Men ? White                Ladies ? Red 

Prizes:  Each round will be a separate competition and both will count towards the Order of Merit. There will be prizes for the first, second and third place each round plus an overall 36 hole prize.  The presentation will take place shortly after the last match has finished. 

Nearest the Pin: There will be two Nearest the Pin Competitions each round with a dozen Nike balls for the winners..  

Catering: A three course roast lunch will be served in between rounds and a snack will be available following the second round. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket & tie in the Dining Room. 

Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep of ?5 per round to include a 2s sweep of ?2, a competition sweep of ?2 per and an overall 36 hole competition sweep of ?1. 

EAGT Order of Merit: Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on. Shorts:  If you wish to wear shorts socks MUST be knee length and white or navy blue. 

Dress: Gentlemen need to wear a jacket & tie in the Dining Room at lunchtime. 

GPS range finding equipment: The use of GPS range finding devices is permitted on the Tour.  

Late Cancellation:  Please note that we have submitted numbers to the golf club and they WILL make a charge for late cancellation.
