COMPETITOR INFORMATION
Tee Times: The draw will be on the website by 5.00pm on Monday 24th March. Play starts from the first and tenth tees at 9.00am with the last matches teeing off at aproximately 10.10am. If you require an early or late tee time please email the office on info@gmmltd.co.uk
Directions: Click on the ?Map? button on www.eagt.co.uk for the location of The Grove.
Registration: Please drive to the ?Golfers Bag Drop? on arrival. The registration desk will be set up in the Corporate Golf Lounge from 8.30am and tea/coffee and bacon rolls will be available when you arrive.
Handicap Certificate: If this is your first Tour event please remember to bring your handicap certificate.
Scoring Format: Play will be in fourballs and the scoring format will be Individual Stableford with full handicap allowance. The maximum handicap limits will be 24 for men and 36 for ladies.
Tees: Men ? Medal (Silver) ? approx 6600yds Ladies ? Aubergine ? 5507yds
Practice Facilities: The Grove has superb practice facilities and you will be allocated complimentary range balls 30 minutes before your tee time.
Halfway house: There is a halfway house at The Grove serving a variety of hot & cold drinks, sandwiches and sweets. All purchases are made at the player's own expense.
Prizes: There will be prizes for at least the first, second, third and fourth place. The presentation will take place shortly after the last match has finished.
Nearest the Pin: There will be two Nearest the Pin Competitions.
Catering: A three course buffet will be available on a rolling basis following play. The food in The Glass House Restaurant is excellent at The Grove is excellent and was probably the best on Tour in 2012.
EAGT Order of Merit: Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on.
You will need to be a current member of the EAGT to qualify for merit points. You can check your membership status and join by calling Janet on 0845 466 2222. The subscription fee is ?40 for 12 months from the day you join.
CONGU Qualifier: This event will be a CONGU handicap qualifying event.
Sweep: There will be an optional sweep of ?5 per person to include a 2s sweep and a competition sweep.
Soft spikes only: The Grove operates a soft spikes only policy.
Dress: Jackets and ties and the equivalent for ladies are not required but The Grove request that dress is smart casual.
Late Cancellation: Please note that The Grove WILL charge in full for late cancellations.
Buggies & trolleys: Buggies may be used and can be booked directly on 01293 807807 at a cost of ?25 per person. Please note buggies are currently restricted to cart paths. Trolleys are available for hire for ?5 per round.
GPS range finding equipment: The use of GPS range finding devices is permitted on the Tour.
