Experience Scandinavian Golf at Its Finest

Arrive Tuesday 11th – Depart Friday 14th August 2026

Day 1: Start your trip at Denmark’s No. 2 ranked course, The Scandinavian Old Course, a true parkland masterpiece and the perfect opening test for the week.

Day 2: Then head to the Faldo Course at Ledreborg Palace Golf Club, renowned for its rolling terrain, strategic bunkering and classic design set among stunning Danish countryside.

Day 3: Experience modern championship golf on The Scandinavian New Course, ranked No. 5 in Denmark and celebrated for its bold, contemporary architecture and memorable finishing holes.

Day 4: Your finale takes place at Furesø Golfklub, host venue of the 2025 DP World Danish Open, where Marco Penge claimed victory at -16 — giving you the chance to walk the same fairways the tour professionals competed on.

The layout flows seamlessly through gentle undulations, delivering a charming yet engaging round in classic Danish surroundings.

  • Accommodation

    Imperial Hotel - 4****

    Imperial Hotel sits in the heart of Copenhagen on Vester Farimagsgade, just steps from Vesterport Stationa short walk to Tivoli Gardens, City Hall Square, and the shopping of Strøget — making it an ideal base for sightseeing, shopping and exploring the city’s vibrant neighbourhoods. Its location also places you within easy walking distance of countless cafés, bars, and restaurants in Vesterbro, as well as cultural highlights like museums, theatres and lakeside promenades. 

    The hotel blends classic Danish design with contemporary comfort, offering stylish, newly renovated rooms in calming tones of green, beige, and grey that feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, coffee/tea facilities, and in some categories extras like bathrobes, slippers, and balconies. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast, a fitness centre and concierge services, all designed to make stays comfortable.

    On-site you’ll find Ristorante L’Appetito, an Italian restaurant serving lunch and dinner, plus a bar/lounge where you can relax with drinks after a day on the golf course. Within a few minutes’ walk are many more great eating and drinking options — from casual brew spots and international cafés to local Danish eateries and classic bars — so there’s always somewhere nearby to enjoy a meal or a nightcap just around the corner.

    Check in will be from 15:00 on day of arrival and check out is 12:00 on day of departure.

  • Golf Transfers

    Golf Course transfers are included - timetable will be released closer to the time of the event. 

  • Buggies, Electric Trolleys & Push Trolleys

    Shared buggies available upon request at the Scandinavian Old and New courses. Please advise us when booking. 

    Fureso Golfklub is a non buggy golf club and trolleys have been arranged for competitors. 

  • Format & Handicaps

    Format:  The scoring format each day will be individual Stableford. 

    Handicaps:  Playing Handicap will be set at 95% of Course Handicap. The maximum Playing Handicaps are 24 for men and 30 for ladies. If your handicap exceeds these limits, you can still play, but for competition purposes, you’ll play off these limits.

    All four rounds will be run under the World Handicap System (WHS). Scores will not automatically be forwarded to your Golf Union.  Participants MUST return their daily scores to their golf club. The easiest way to do this is to forward the email from Golf Genius, which will be received after each round, and provides details of your scores.

    GAGT Overseas Handicap System (OHA):  Handicaps will be adjusted after each round in line with the GAGT OHA system. The GAGT OHA system is based on the CONGU handicap system prior to the introduction of WHS. Adjustments made by the GAGT OHA system will not affect your club Handicap Index.

    The GAGT OHA system takes precedence over adjustments made by a player’s home club to ensure consistency. Details of the GAGT OHA system can be provided upon request.

    Daily Draw:  The draw for the first two rounds will be available on the website a week before the event.

    The draw for the last round will be made in score order.

    In the last round, the leaders will go out last.

    Rules:  The R&A Rules of Golf and local rules apply - No Gimmies. 

     

    Participants can use the message facility in their Locker/Account for requests such as playing partners and early or late tee times. The organisers will do their best to accommodate these requests.

  • Prizes & Sweep

    To avoid excess baggage charges, prizes will be in the form of vouchers for the Global Amateur Golf Tour.

    Daily Prizes:

    1st Place: £100 GAGT voucher

    2nd Place: £70 GAGT voucher

    3rd Place: £50 GAGT voucher

     

    Overall Vouchers: 

    1st Place: £175 GAGT voucher

    2nd Place: £150 GAGT voucher

    3rd Place: £125 GAGT voucher

     

    Nearest the Pin:  There will be two Nearest the Pins for each round, with a prize of a £25 GAGT voucher.


    Sweep:  An optional sweep of £40, £10 per round, collected in cash during check-in before the first round.  The sweep will be paid out daily for the leading three scores and anyone who scores a two.

  • Order Of Merit

    Merit points will be awarded for all rounds.

    Points will be awarded on the basis of 100 points to the winner, 99 points for runner-up, 98 points for third, and so on.

    Participants need to be a current member of the GAGT to qualify for merit points.

  • London to Copenhagen

    The easiest and most efficient way to travel from London to Copenhagen is by direct flight from Heathrow AirportGatwick Airport, or Stansted Airport to Copenhagen Airport. The flight takes around 1 hour 45 minutes, with frequent daily departures, making it by far the quickest and most convenient option — especially when travelling with golf clubs.

    From Copenhagen Airport, the city centre is just 15 minutes by car, metro or train, meaning you can be at your hotel shortly after landing.
