Format

The scoring format each day will be Individual Stableford.

Handicaps

Playing Handicaps will be set at 95% of Course Handicap. Maximum Playing Handicaps are 24 for men and 30 for ladies. Players with handicaps above these limits may still compete, but will play off the maximum allowance for competition purposes.

All rounds will be run under the World Handicap System (WHS). Scores will not automatically be submitted to overseas golf unions. Players are responsible for returning their scores to their home club after each round. A scorecard summary will be provided via email after each round to assist with this process.

GAGT Overseas Handicap System (OHA)

Handicaps will be adjusted after each round in line with the GAGT OHA system, based on the CONGU format prior to WHS. Adjustments made under this system are for competition consistency only and do not affect a player’s official Handicap Index.

The GAGT OHA system takes precedence over any adjustments made by a player’s home club during the event. Full details are available upon request.

Daily Draw

The first-round draw will be published on the website approximately one week before the event.

Final-round pairings will be made in score order, with leaders teeing off last.

Players may request preferred playing partners or early/late tee times via the messaging facility in their account. The organisers will always do their best to accommodate requests where possible.

Rules

The R&A Rules of Golf and local course rules apply. No gimmies.

To avoid excess baggage charges when travelling home, all prizes will be awarded as Global Amateur Golf Tour vouchers.

Nearest the Pin
There will be two Nearest the Pin competitions during each round, with a £25 GAGT voucher awarded to each winner.


Optional Sweep
An optional sweep of €40 (€10 per round) will be collected in cash at check-in before the first round.

The sweep will be paid out daily to:
• The leading three scores
• Any player scoring a two

Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are included. Please provide your flight details to the office by emailing info@gmmltd.co.uk.

Golf Course Transfers
All golf course transfers are included. A full transfer schedule will be sent prior to the event.

Buggy use at Anfi Golf is mandatory and will be arranged and covered by the organisers for all competitors. Any additional buggies (e.g. for non-golfers) can be arranged and paid for directly in the pro shop.

At Meloneras and Maspalomas, buggies and trolleys are optional and available for hire on the day.

Maspalomas is generally walkable for most players. Meloneras is a more demanding walk and a buggy is recommended.

If you would like a buggy or trolley pre-booked at Meloneras or Maspalomas, please contact the office as early as possible.

Buggy requests will be prioritised for players with medical requirements, followed by a first come, first served basis. Availability cannot be guaranteed.
