Please note that the Two-Bedroom Suites are ideal for families or groups of friends. Each suite features:

1 bedroom with a king-size bed (sleeps 2)
1 bedroom with two twin beds that can be converted into a double (sleeps 2)

If booking for two couples, please be aware that one couple will share the king bed, while the other couple can either have separate twin beds or a double bed, depending on preference.

The Tournament will be played over 72 holes, two rounds will be played on The Royal Course and two rounds on The Ocean Course.

Play will be in fourballs on all four days. 

The winners will be the pair returning the highest aggregate number of points.  In the case of a tie there will be a count back over the last 18 holes, last 9, 6, 3, 1.

The competition is open to all male and female golfers with an active WHS Handicap or the equivalent outside the UK.

We will reduce players handicaps in the competition if necessary, depending on scores.

The scoring format will be Betterball Stableford with 85% of Course Handicap allowance. 

The maximum playing handicap limits will be 24 for men and 30 for ladies.

There will be prizes for the leading three scores each day and Overall.

To avoid any excess baggage charges prizes will be in the form of vouchers for the GAGT as follows:

Daily vouchers per pair: 1st - £100, 2nd - £80, 3rd - £60 

Overall vouchers per pair: 1st - £200, 2nd £160, 3rd - £140.

A brief presentation will follow once the final group completes the last round. 

The draw for the first two rounds will be on our website 2 days before the first round. The draws for the last two rounds will be made in score order. 

If you have any requests for early / late tee times, please use the message facility in your Locker / account and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

Shared buggies are included.

Not all the local restaurants will be open, but we will recommend a different restaurant each evening for those who wish to remain as part of the group.  You will be completely free to do what you wish in the evenings.

Please ensure that you have adequate travel and medical insurance cover for the duration of your stay in Portugal.

The weather on the Algarve in January can be changeable and we advise you to bring some warm clothing and your waterproofs just in case. The dress code for the evenings is casual.

Airport transfers are not included but Vale do Lobo is only 20 minutes by taxi from Faro Airport and the fare is approximately 30 Euro.

Guests staying in the Vale do Lobo Apartments can use the complimentary resort shuttle. If you are staying at the Wyndham or are booked for golf only, transfers to the golf course are not included. We recommend using Uber or renting a car for convenience.
