Scoring Format: Play will be in threeballs and the scoring format will be Individual Stableford with stroke allowance being 95% of Course Handicap. The maximum Playing Handicap limits will be 24 for men and 30 for ladies.
WHS Qualifier: Swinley Forest is a very private and traditional club and they only have about three members competitions each year. For this reason they have no interest in adopting the WHS or obtaining a Slope Rating and Course Rating for the course. It is therefore not possible for us to run the two rounds as WHS qualifiers which is why you will not receive an adjustment to your handicap.
In the past we have been able to use Fernhill Artisans course details for running the events as a WHS qualifier but Swinley closed down the artisan section at the beginning of 2024, so the Fernhill Artisan course details are no longer applicable.
Prizes: Each round will be a separate competition and both will count towards the Order of Merit. There will be prizes for the first, second and third place each round plus an overall 36 hole prize. There will also be two Nearest the Pin competitions.
GAGT Order of Merit: Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on. To be eligible for merit points you need to be a current member of the Tour for an annual subscription of £40. You can join online at golftour.golf or call Kelly/Debbie on 0345 466 2222.
Sweep: There will be an optional sweep of £10 per round, which pays out for a 2 and also Top 3 places in the morning and afternoon competition. Please remember to bring cash to enter.
