Angus Glen Golf Club, located in Markham, Ontario, is one of Canada’s most prestigious golf venues, with a history deeply rooted in championship play. Opened in the mid-1990s and developed by Kylemore Communities as the centerpiece of the Angus Glen residential community, the club quickly earned international acclaim. It made history by hosting the Canadian Open (PGA TOUR) in both 2002 and 2007, becoming one of the first purpose-built private community courses to host Canada’s national championship. Today, Angus Glen is celebrated for its championship pedigree, meticulous conditioning, and strategic course design, offering an elite yet welcoming golf experience and offers a fine start to our week of golf in Canada.

Practice Facilities:  Angus Glen Golf Club offers excellent practice facilities to complement its championship courses, including a full driving range, dedicated putting greens, and chipping and pitching areas for short-game work.

 

Scoring Format:  The scoring format will be Individual Stableford with Playing Handicap 95% of Course Handicap.  The maximum playing handicap limits will be 24 for men and 30 for ladies.

 

Prizes:  There will be prizes for first, second and third place and an additional two Nearest the Pin competitions. 

 

GAGT Order of Merit:  Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on. To be eligible for merit points you need to be a current member of the Tour for an annual subscription of £40. You can join online at golftour.golf or call 0345 466 2222.

 

Nearest the Pin:  There will be two Nearest the Pin Competitions.

 

Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep of $10 to include a 2s sweep and a competition sweep. Please remember to bring cash.

 

Late Cancellation:  Please note that when we have submitted numbers to the golf club they will make a charge for late cancellation.
