Courses
Carton House – O'Meara Course
Ranked #57 in Ireland in the 2026 Irish Golfer Top 100, the O'Meara Course at Carton House provides a beautiful parkland start to our Irish Open.
Designed by two-time Major Champion Mark O'Meara, the par-73 course measures 7,165 yards from the championship tees and winds through ancient woodland and alongside the banks of the River Rye.
The course combines immaculate parkland surroundings with strategic bunkering, water and a layout designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. One of its standout sections follows the River Rye, before the round concludes against the spectacular backdrop of Carton House's historic Manor House, lake and Boat House.
Carton House itself has an impressive championship pedigree, having hosted the Irish Open in 2005, 2006 and 2013, as well as the 2018 World Amateur Team Championships.
A superb combination of history, scenery and championship golf makes the O'Meara an excellent opening challenge.
Carton House – Montgomerie Course
Ranked #48 in Ireland in the 2026 Irish Golfer Top 100, the Montgomerie Course provides a completely different challenge for our second round at Carton House.
Designed by European Ryder Cup legend Colin Montgomerie, this par-72 championship course measures 7,301 yards from the championship tees and was created as an inland links inspired by some of the world's great traditional links courses.
Wide, rolling fairways are defended by numerous deep and strategically positioned bunkers, while large, undulating greens place an emphasis on accurate approach play and intelligent course management.
The Montgomerie has its own significant tournament pedigree and forms part of a Carton House venue that has welcomed Irish Opens and the world's leading amateur golfers.
Its combination of dramatic bunkering, links-inspired design and championship length provides a fascinating contrast to the O'Meara and a serious test of every part of your game.
The K Club – Palmer North Course
The final two rounds take us to one of the most famous championship venues in Irish golf – The K Club's Palmer North Course.
Designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer, the Palmer North is regularly recognised among Ireland's leading parkland courses and has a tournament history few venues can match.
Most famously, it hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup, becoming the first golf course in Ireland to stage the event. It has also hosted numerous European Opens and Irish Opens, welcoming many of the greatest players in the game.
The course hosted the Irish Open in 2023 and 2025 and will once again host the championship in 2027, meaning GAGT competitors will be playing the same course that will welcome the DP World Tour's leading players later that season.
Beautiful parkland surroundings are combined with strategic bunkering, water hazards and classic Arnold Palmer risk-and-reward design, creating a course that can reward aggressive golf but punish mistakes.
Two rounds at The K Club provide a fitting conclusion to four rounds of championship golf and the GAGT Irish Open.
