    Kingsbarns Golf Links
Ranked #7 in Scotland and #14 in Golf Monthly's 2025/26 Top 100 Courses in the UK & Ireland, Kingsbarns has established itself as one of the world's great modern links courses.

Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened in 2000, Kingsbarns occupies approximately 1.8 miles of spectacular North Sea coastline just seven miles from St Andrews. The routing makes exceptional use of its seaside setting, with sweeping coastal views and holes that bring players remarkably close to the water.

Kingsbarns also has outstanding championship pedigree. It has co-hosted the DP World Tour's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship alongside the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie since 2001 and hosted the 2017 Women's British Open.

Generous fairways may provide some opportunity from the tee, but undulating terrain, strategic bunkering, coastal winds and carefully positioned greens ensure there is plenty of challenge. The spectacular stretch around the shoreline is among the most memorable in Scottish golf.

Our Scottish Open begins at one of the most historic links in the game.
Golf at Elie and Earlsferry can be traced back to 1589, with the links now recognised as the third-oldest golf course in the world. Five-time Open Champion James Braid grew up locally and learned the game over these very links.

At just over 6,200 yards, Elie proves that a great links course doesn't need excessive length to provide a serious test. Firm, fast-running fairways, revetted bunkers, beautifully defended greens and the ever-changing coastal wind reward imagination, accuracy and intelligent course management.

The course enjoys spectacular views across the Firth of Forth and the Fife coastline, while its character and history can be felt throughout the round.

Elie is also home to one of golf's most unusual features – a 10-metre submarine periscope from HMS Excalibur, positioned beside the first tee and still used by the starter to check that the blind opening fairway is clear.

A wonderfully traditional Scottish links and a fitting place to begin our Scottish Open.

    Dumbarnie Links
Ranked #37 in Golf Monthly's 2025/26 Top 100 Courses in the UK & Ireland, Dumbarnie Links has made a remarkable impact since opening in 2020.

Designed by former Ryder Cup player Clive Clark, the course occupies a spectacular 345-acre site overlooking the Firth of Forth. Fourteen holes offer views across the bay and Firth, with elevated tees and dramatic changes in elevation creating some exceptional views throughout the round.

Dumbarnie is a modern links designed around risk and reward. Three potentially driveable par 4s provide opportunities for aggressive play, while strategic bunkering, large greens and the coastal wind ensure that the safest route isn't always the most rewarding.

Despite being one of Scotland's newest links courses, Dumbarnie has already demonstrated its championship credentials, hosting the Women's Scottish Open shortly after opening.

The course can stretch to approximately 7,600 yards from its tournament tees, although multiple teeing options allow the challenge to be adapted for different levels of golfer.

Combining spectacular coastal scenery, modern links design and genuine strategic choices, Dumbarnie provides a very different challenge from Elie and Kingsbarns and completes an outstanding trio of Scottish links courses for the GAGT Scottish Open.
