Information for Competitors

Your prize includes three nights, bed & breakfast at the five star Turnberry Resort, dinner on Sunday and Monday evenings and two rounds of golf on the famous Ailsa Course, venue for the 2009 Open Championship and rated 3rd in the ?Top 100 UK Courses?. There is an option for a practice round at a subsidised green fee on Saturday.

Itinerary:

Saturday 25^th October

• Arrive at Turnberry & check in to hotel from 3.00pm.
• Optional practice round on the Ailsa Course ? tee times between 11:20 - 11:50am & 1.10 ? 1.30pm

Sunday 26^th October

• Breakfast in the Turnberry Hotel
• First round of UK Final - matches tee off from 9.20am in Order of Merit order
• Informal dinner in the Turnberry Hotel from 7.30pm

Monday 27^th October

• Breakfast in the Turnberry Hotel
• Second round of UK Final - matches tee off from 9.00am in score order with leaders teeing off last.
• Pre dinner drinks from 7.30pm
• Presentation Dinner in the Turnberry Hotel from 8.15pm

Tuesday 28^th October

• Check out and pay for extras
• Depart hotel after breakfast

We are staying in the lodges at Turnberry which are appointed to the same standard as the hotel and they are more convenient for walking to the golf course and the driving range. However if you wish to stay in the hotel there is a supplement as detailed below.

Turnberry Health Spa:

There is a fantastic health and leisure club and Spa at Turnberry offering a whole range of treatments and it is strongly recommended that you book all treatments in advance on 01655 331000.

Dress Code: 

You will be required to wear a jacket & tie, and the equivalent for ladies at the Presentation Dinner on Tuesday evening. The dinner on Sunday is informal and the dress code is smart casual.  At all other times the hotel request that the dress code is smart casual.

Golf:

Saturday 25^th October ? Practice round

We are currently holding tee times between 10.40am and 11.50am and the subsidised green fee charge is ?85. If you wish to book a practice tee time please call the office asap on 0845 466 2222 or email us on info@gmmltd.co.uk.

Sunday 26^th October - First round draw:   

The order of play will be on the basis of your final position in the Order of Merit with the leaders going out last. Play starts at 9.20am. The first round draw will be on the website www.eagt.co.uk by 5.00pm on Wednesday 22^nd October.

Monday 27^th October

Second round draw: The order of play will be on the basis of your score in the first round with the leaders going out last and play starts at 9.00am

Scoring format: Two rounds of Individual Stableford with full handicap allowance.

Tees: Men ? TBA ? approx yardage 6600yds        Ladies ? TBA

Practice: The facilities are excellent and range balls will be provided.

Buggies:  Turnberry only have 10 electric trolleys for hire at a charge of ?20 per round and pull trolleys at ?5 per round. Booking in advance is recommended on 01655 331 000. There are no buggies available for hire.

Caddies: Caddies are available at a charge of ?45 per round plus tip. If you wish to book a caddie please do so via the GMM Message facility in your Locker / Account. You will need to let us know by Friday 17^th October at the latest.

GPS Range finding equipment: The use of GPS and laser equipment is permitted.
